Thornbrook Orchard

showcasing the region’s best

When did you first start? The orchard has been in the family since the 1950s and we now help out my father.

Why pome (apple & pair) and stone fruit? My grandfather came here in the recession looking for work, managed an orchard, met my grandmother and started his own orchard. Due to the varietals in demand at that time you needed rich, red (volcanic) soil plus the cool nights typical of the area to grow the fruit.

What makes your product special? It’s a love for the orchard and we care about what we do. We stopped selling to the Sydney markets so we could provide fresh fruit and have interaction with our customers.
